1. Operator and scope

REAL VOICE, provided by Simon West (the ‘Operator’), is a service for designing and publishing surveys and AI chat interviews, and collecting and reviewing responses. These terms govern use of the service between members and the Operator. Study participants are also subject to the participation information and privacy notice for their particular study. 2. Registration and account management

Members register by signing in with an authentication account they are authorized to use, accepting the terms, confirming their age, and entering a display name. Research management and participation accounts are intended for people aged 14 or older. Participants can register without creating a team. Minors must obtain a legal representative's consent where required by law. Do not impersonate another person or organization or register on their behalf without authority. Protect your sign-in methods, manage the use you authorize, and promptly notify the Operator if you discover unauthorized use. Members are not made responsible for problems attributable to the Operator.

3. Team and project permissions

Anyone creating a team for an organization must have authority to do so. Team owners manage members and budgets; project administrators manage studies and data access. Check the recipient and scope before inviting someone, changing roles, transferring ownership, or providing shared links. Being a team owner does not by itself grant access to original data in invitation-only projects. Ownership transfers complete when the recipient accepts. Before leaving, lawfully transfer or resolve management responsibilities and any necessary materials.

4. Researchers' collection responsibilities

The member or organization creating a study determines its purpose, audience, questions, collected information, retention period, and disclosure scope. They must inform participants of the actual processing and how to exercise their rights, and obtain any legally required consent or another lawful basis. Simply using AI-generated participation information does not fulfill this obligation. Do not enter or collect others' secrets, unnecessary identifiers such as resident registration numbers or credentials, or sensitive information. Studies that must handle such information cannot operate without a separate review of their lawful basis and safeguards. Studies of children under 14 requiring legal representative verification are not currently supported.

5. Rights in materials and permitted processing

Rights in materials provided by members and participants remain with their original rights holders. Members may use only materials they are authorized to upload, collect, and share. The Operator may store, transmit, and display materials as necessary to provide the service, and perform member-requested AI processing and incident recovery. This permission does not include an unrestricted right to use materials for advertising sales or training general-purpose AI models. The Operator's rights in the service's code, design, and trademarks are separately protected. Generated results are not guaranteed to be exclusive or free of third-party rights claims; check before publishing or reusing them.

6. AI features and reviewing results

AI produces design drafts, suggested edits and reviews, interview questions, and organized records linked to supporting evidence. Results may contain errors, omissions, or bias, and may differ for the same input. Before publishing studies or using results, members must compare them with original materials, conditions, and participant consent. Passing an AI review or reaching a response target does not certify validity, representativeness, or accuracy. Do not use AI results alone for decisions with significant effects on individuals, including employment, credit, or healthcare. The Operator remains responsible for promised safeguards and does not receive a blanket exemption from statutory liability because AI is used.

7. Publishing, collection, and retention

Design changes apply to new participants after republishing; existing participants retain the version with which they started. Automatic closure at a target applies only when enabled, and responses from stages already started may be accepted beyond the target. Manual closure, the scheduled end time, and project archiving prevent additional submissions. Members should review the effects shown before closing collection. The retention deadline disclosed to participants cannot be extended arbitrarily. Export necessary materials within your authority and processing purpose before deletion or expiration. The holder of a downloaded copy is responsible for protecting and deleting it.

8. Prohibited use

Illegal studies, fraud, harassment, discrimination, unauthorized collection or disclosure of personal information, intellectual property infringement, bypassing authentication or access controls, extracting other participants' data or secret instructions, uploading malicious files, and automation intended to disrupt the service or evade cost limits are prohibited. Brief answers, lack of knowledge, or refusal are not themselves treated as abuse. If you discover a security issue, report it to the contact address without further viewing or changing other people's data.

9. Free operation and AI budgets

The service currently operates free of charge and does not offer payment method registration or automatic subscription billing. Administrator-approved team AI budgets are usage caps, not cash balances, refundable amounts, or exclusively guaranteed allocations. New calls may be limited by provider-wide limits, team limits, validity periods, and stability controls. Retries, question checking, and post-interview record reviews count toward usage; calls with costs still being checked are shown separately. If paid service is introduced, prices, billing cycles, cancellation, and refund terms will be disclosed in advance and separately agreed to. Registration or free use is not treated as agreement to convert to a paid service.

10. Changes, maintenance, and restrictions

The Operator may change features or restrict use for security, incident response, legal compliance, and reasonable service improvements. Where possible, reasons, effects, timing, and contact methods are announced in advance and an opportunity to address issues is provided. Where urgent harm prevention or legal limits on notice apply, action may come first, followed by notice when possible. Restrictions are limited to the necessary scope and duration, and members may raise objections through the contact address. For long-term discontinuation of important features, available data-transfer periods and methods will be explained. Free operation does not authorize arbitrary deletion of all data or remove notification obligations.

11. Liability

The Operator and members are responsible under applicable law for harm they cause the other through intent or negligence. Responsibility for force majeure not attributable to the Operator, unlawful collection or permission settings by members, member-provided materials, or independent external service failures is assessed according to cause and ability to control it. These circumstances do not automatically remove all of the Operator's protection and recovery obligations. Business outcomes or achievement of a particular purpose through study results are not guaranteed. Liability that cannot legally be limited, including intentional misconduct, gross negligence, and breaches of personal information protection duties, is not excluded; damages are not capped at zero merely because use is free.

12. Termination, deletion, and disputes

Members can request account deletion in personal settings or contact the Operator. Team ownership and last-administrator responsibilities must first be transferred or resolved to protect other members' materials. Leaving does not delete all other team members' materials or authentication accounts used for separate services. Deletion scope and exceptions are explained in the Privacy Policy and final confirmation screen. These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea without excluding mandatory consumer or privacy protections in the user's place of residence. Disputes should first be discussed; court jurisdiction follows applicable law. No exclusive jurisdiction in a distant court or blanket waiver of legal action is required.

13. Changes to terms and notices

Changes to the terms, including reasons, content, and effective date, are generally announced in the service seven days in advance. Changes unfavorable to members or materially affecting rights or obligations are generally also individually notified 30 days in advance, with necessary consent obtained. Where urgent legal action is required, the reason and effective time are separately communicated. Continued access alone does not replace consent to new personal information processing. Members who disagree may stop using the service or leave before the change takes effect. Previous documents and the corresponding consent records are managed separately.
